July 1979	Obtained a Business Degree with 1st Class Honours
Sept1982	Qualified as a Chartered Accountant
Nov 1982	Joined Michael Page as a Consultant at their Birmingham office. Generated substantial fees.
Jan 1985	Appointed Manager of the Birmingham office. Personally appointed and trained some of the industry’s most successful operators.
Mar 1988	Appointed Director at Page’s London HQ.
Oct 1989	Formed Shaw and Gollings, a specialist recruitment firm based in Nottingham. Within 18 months, the business was the regional market leader.
Jun 1999	Joined MacIldowie Associates as Ops Director/Coach. My methods were introduced and revenue increased 70% each year from a well established base. Successfully launched the IT and HR Recruitment Divisions The firm took over as market leader. Contingency vacancy fill rate increased from 70% to 95% Two international financial recruitment firms closed their Nottingham offices due to poor performance.
July 2003	Formed my own Training and Coaching business, operating initially on a part-time basis, exclusively for a highly respected regional recruitment firm. At the time I commenced my association, this business, which was formed in 1988, had around 20 fee earners. In little more than 2 years, that number had increased to @80, accompanied by a correspondingly dramatic improvement in financial performance. In 2005 I began to work with other specialist firms. Repeat business take up is 100%. Feedback and fee increases have been exceptional. My current clients operate in the following sectors: Engineering Construction Finance Banking IT HR Sales Marketing Legal Supply Chain/Operations Scientific Office Support
